Hi,
Apologies if this is resurrecting an old topic, but I'm a fairly new member. Does anyone know of any good guidebooks for day touring, similar to the Anselme Baud Chamonix book, for the following areas?:
Andermatt
Verbier
St. Anton
Warth/Schroken
Gargellen
Monte Rosa
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Phil - the classic guide to the Alpes Valaisannes (includes Verbier and Monte Rosa) is by Denis Bertholet (Editions Denoel). There are more modern guides to most of the French Alps in the Guides Olizane series. Search on amazon.fr (and probably amazon.de for the German-language ones).

For the Southern French Alps, the Volopress series of Topoguides covers them all: beautiful photos with routes clearly marked and very good descriptions with variants (in French).

Hi Phil, i too am new to Eagle Ski Club. For Monte Rosa, see'Polvere Rosa, Freeski in the Monte Rosa Massif', by Andrea Gallo - in Italian and English. Many day tours in and around Alagna, Gressonay and Champoluc.
Cheers
Tony
