I was after a bit of general advice. Would anyone care to recommend a ski ascent route for Mt Blanc? And best time of year to attempt said route. Planning timelines etc also much appreciated.
Thanks

I have tried it via the Grands Mulet - turned back in the end because of the weather. Basically skinned to the Grands Mulet hut and then skinned to the ridge, which we booted up. Skis back on to the Vallot Hut or beyond and then boot to the summit. Descend beneath the Grands Mulet ridge but not hanging about becaue of the sercacs.
Am under the impression that this could be modified into a 3 dayer by skiing to the Gouter hut (unmanned) from the Grands Mulet.
Having said all that, I reckon the three monts route looks best if you get the conditions - Cosmiques to Mont Bland du Tacul to Mont Maudit to Mont Blanc.
